Gamers are excited to see new releases. Since the video gaming industry is so large, it seems like new games appear almost every day. Add the fact that you have different titles for PCs and consoles, and the frequency of at least one game per day seems pretty reasonable. Not to mention mobile games that also add to the number.
Having said that, just because a new video game drops so often, it does not mean that you have the time or money to try everything that gets released. If anything, most people tend to ignore most video games and focus on those titles that they find exciting.
Be it a sequel to a popular franchise, a new game from a great developer company that was under the radar for too long, or a brand-new developer entering a market, the hype about upcoming releases is real.
Let’s take a look at some of the most anticipated games that are just around the corner. Hopefully, these titles will meet the expectations.
Farming Simulator 22
Simulator games might not be everyone’s favorite genre, but there is a demographic for them. The upcoming Farming Simulator 22 is one of the most anticipated games in the genre, and you can already find FS22 Mods in preparation for the release.
If you like to drive around and enjoy the relaxing experience of running your own farm, then you should give Farming Simulator a go.
God of War Ragnarok
The story of Atreus and Kratos continues in God of War Ragnarok. The franchise has been one of the best to come out on Playstation, and it is such exclusive games that make the console so popular.
Before you play Ragnarok, make sure to go through the previous installment yourself. Or, at the very least, catch up on the story by watching videos on YouTube.
Gotham Knights
Despite the fact that DC Comics are behind Marvel in movies, there is no denying that video games are a different story.
In Gotham Knights, players will no longer control Batman (at least from what the trailers of the game suggest so far). Instead, it is Bruce Wayne’s proteges that are coming to the rescue of Gotham. In addition to what is expected to be a great combat system and story, the game also features a co-op mode.
Horizon Forbidden West
Aloy is once again exploring a post-apocalyptic world to learn more about what happened. The sequel to critically-acclaimed Horizon Zero Dawn is on most Playstation players’ radars. Changes to the gameplay itself should not be too different from the first game, but we can expect vaster zones to explore and new encounters.
Dying Light 2
Horror games have been quite popular recently, and there is no lack of them. The first Dying Light came out in 2015, so more than 6 years have passed since then.
The sequel should bring even more excitement as you get to plan your routes and prepare for night strikes.
Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2
Given the track record of Nintendo, even the most patient fans were somewhat fed up of having to wait for a major announcement. Thankfully, their stance changed after the news about Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2.
It is no secret that plenty of people did not own a Nintendo before the first Zelda game. Will the sales rise again when the sequel comes closer to its release date? Most likely.
Call of Duty 2022
It would not be a proper list without a Call of Duty game, right? The developers continue to pump out new titles more frequently than they probably should, but if the game sells, there are no complaints on their side, right?
Whether you are a fan or a hater of the CoD franchise, there is no denying that it is popular, and despite rehashing the same thing over and over, people are still excited to play it.
Hogwarts Legacy
There have been a few Harry Potter video games over the years, but none of them really came close to being world hitters.
Hopefully, Hogwarts Legacy will be different. Moreover, it is an MMORPG, a category that has been suffering a lot lately despite the likes of New World and regular expansions for World of Warcraft or Final Fantasy XIV.
Elden Ring
Elden Ring is, without a doubt, one of the most anticipated upcoming games. There were already a couple of delays, but that is to be expected given the stature of the title and how high the expectations are.
At first glance, it looks a lot like Dark Souls or Sekiro, but the in-game world should be more forgiving, meaning that players are less likely to struggle while progressing as Tarnished in the Land Between.
