What’s going on guys Nathan with ultimate tech news back with another article to have an opening unboxing of this this is the new Fitbit charge. So you can see fitbit charge 2 bands and this just came out very recently probably within the past couple of days.

I know that places like target Walmart and Best Buy just now started selling them in the past couple days and then I think fit that was shipping them out within you know the past week or so we’ll take a good look at this you can see the design is a lot different it doesn’t have that skinny little just singular screen still single screen, but it’s a lot larger display still has that buckle on the back so you can see on the front some information to give you heart rate and fitness band still has that pure pulse heart rate per pulse is a registered trademark through them.

I guess it’s their name all the activity and sleep tracker multi-sport tracking smartphone notifications this time has an interchangeable bands, so you can actually swap the band’s off kind of like the Alta I’m guessing it’ll just pop out at the large size here and again just like always it has a sizing tool on the side for when you’re in the store it is water resistant and it works with the aria Wi-Fi scale. I would hope and it’s saying basically you can use mac pc it works on Apple Android and Windows works on windows devices cool.

So on the back same kind of information as they always have just telling you that it tracks pretty much everything you can do and then at the bottom you see stainless steel tracker black bands they have this in black blue plum and rose gold which kind of looks like a tan or like a peach to me see how let’s go ahead and open this and see so just like normal same as always there’s this little tab on the back you pull down comes around and then this just slides out that to the side this is exactly the same kind of packaging they’re using for all the bands now including the blaze this was identical to my blades packaging just different sized little spot here whole.

So actually you don’t let me take this off because I don’t want to try it on see you guys can see it right so here’s the band itself set that to the side for just a second we’re not really going to need to look at any of this stuff this is just instructional information as always booklets and stuff like that cool packaging as usual from fit anything that has the tab you just pull on it and then underneath here is probably going to be the charger, so this lips up this peels off this opens too i don’t know if this one will see this one comes with a Wi-Fi area a dongle for your computer does not so this like the other ones lately as a clip eclipse around the back and then the charging pins are here so, it kind of sits in this crate on this clip just hold it in place it uses micro or sorry uses a USB port and it does not come with a brick of any kind which we shall probably have some of those are you can do it through your computer.

So here is what the band looks like when we get these are going to set this up to hopefully see ya alright, so let’s get this sticker over like always in the two little lever knobs here to keep it from getting messed up so the casing like the center of the body is stainless steel this whole thing is a screen and then the band has that nice and I’ve talked about it before I love that thing. The little tooth right there that you can see that holds the band into place the band this time has like a little bit of a like a tip at the end of it almost and then this is like a watchband. so, it’s nice that it has that it’s not just little pins like the aria that snap-in but its actual watchband this won’t come off. if you put it on right and on the bottom just like I said yep just like the Aria you just probably pull these and that just comes right off.

So you can buy different bands for these or if the bands you know become gross or fall apart over time you can replace them which is always nice has a singular button on the left hand side, so we’re going to press that hold it against a Fitbit and that’s probably a version number of some kind fitbit.com / setup now this is funny actually open my Fitbit out because, i have other devices and it’s saying right in there try the new Fitbit charge 2. So you can hit get it now, but I’m going to hit X so this is my setup screen so we’re just going to go down to the plus nope I’m going to go to count and hit setup device and this is similar is always so charge to make every beat count the charge to Fitbit turn on Bluetooth to allow i did not know it was off agree meet your charge our on and it’s searching for the device i have issues sometimes with Bluetooth there.

We go found it pretty easily with any fun I’ve had and I don’t know what the deal is if it’s just normal for boot for Bluetooth or what’s going on and that comes up with the code like always so 1652 is mine put it in and then it’s going to connect this design to me looks a lot like that Microsoft band that i reviewed or that i unbox a long time ago just the style like the flatter like wraparound glass almost and now, we have an update so this is going to take us a little bit that like flat circular design it looks a lot like that obviously that’s nowhere near is chunky because that has a ton of sensors inside the band itself and this one doesn’t let me just put this on quick detail is going to be comfortable because they always are and like I said that little too that hooks over so is what it looks like again not super tall not super in the way that Microsoft band was insane, i mean the first version was really bad but the second one was still too much this feels really comfortable like you could wear easily all day long i just put it on obviously but still feels really nice. so, let this update and then we’ll check and take a look around in just a second alright.

So we just finished up that was interesting so that the update on the phone had still it was probably sixty percent of the bar was filled with the Fitbit vibrated and said like we were good to go so then it shot up 200. so, we’ll update complete would continue and it says now for the fun walk through the most basics to learn how to make the most of your Fitbit charge use the button to wake up the tracker and Paige through the menu. so, you press the button clicking it switches you in between the menu so you have different activities stopwatch relax two minutes that’s pretty cool.

I guess it will hold button to start so it’s like a relaxed mode so I’m guessing it tracks your heart rate to tell you how to relax or if you’re not slowing down your heart rate enough and then the front screen. so, we’ll have next tap to cycle single tap on the clock to cycle through stats pressing won’t work since it’s not your typical touchscreen, so it’s basically it’s a hit so you can see instead of this hitting it goes activity time steps heart rate distance calories stairs active minutes out know what that is guess we’ll try to see if it tells us quick view you can turn on the display by tapping your wrist or by turning your wrist towards you or by double-tapping the display where your Fitbit charge hr to every day to track a variety alright and then on here you have sleep and alarms like normal.

So, you can set an actual alarm that will buzz your wrist and wake you up instead of making a loud sound I think I don’t think any of these have like a speaker function on them. So, it just buzz your wrist is actually really cool feature track exercise record your exercise with real-time stats like pace and distance and other things you can actually see like a mock-up our version of that on the screen here will show you live stats while you’re working out GPS uses your phone obviously these don’t have built-in GPS the only one that does is the surge which is 250 this one was 150 by the way stay connected a charge will buzz when you receive a text or call .

So, this is a cool feature um I don’t I I had kind of spotty luck on Android when you don’t use the stock messaging app that comes with your phone for the text most of us all use the stock dealer. so, that’s not a problem with calls but texts are kind of weird on an iPhone obviously you’re using I message I don’t know if it works with things like what’s happened stuff like that folks don’t use those services guided breathing session sessions find moments of calm throughout your day with personalized guided breathing sessions.

So, that’s a cool new feature that I’m actually excited to try out it has the common mode that you can actually see right here right there so relax so you hit some kind of timer start hold it on the side and it will its says it’s like a two minute. so, I’m guessing it tracks your heart rate and things like that next charging, so this is where the little cradle comes into place that i was talking about so this comes off and you can kind of line it up and it snaps like.

So, that’s the click sound so this is how it charges so just kind of dangles off your wall or anything i usually don’t charge these ever through a computer when it’s this USB plug always do through a wall charger just a normal type, like an iPhone charger or something instead of like a turbocharger.

I don’t know if it matters but that’s what I do how to wear it all day where the band loose that can move back and forth during workout secure the band’s it lays flat two to three finger with above your wrist bone so it kind of shows you a little picture. So, you just kind of want to place it behind that line which helps it read heart rate better too and they always recommend you know after they have that issue with the band’s irritating and giving everybody a rash to kind of take it off and clean it every once in a while.

So you can see that here clean your band and rinse regularly or and wrist regularly with a soap-free cleanser your tracker gets wet remove it and dry it take your band off from time to time. So it’s basically doesn’t want your skin to get irritated because they had quite a bit of issues with that before asking you which risks you’re going to wear it on so these animations are new that I haven’t seen you can swap out your current bandwidth charge to accessories just push the button in and pull the band up.

So we already saw that you’re all set so done and then you’re kind of in the information location access and Bluetooth sharing just hit no thanks for now you can kind of see. so, there’s a little guy that makes you read that i was just hit through because we already kind of solve the setup and then you can see that it’s connected they change this whole app. so, it’s a little bit different and if you go into here you can see left-handedness I’m right-handed it’s on my left hand and you can see let’s see the different clock faces here so there’s that one is an actual watch that looks pretty cool has the date in the middle or that the other day in the middle of the time on top and bottom looks cool to it says Saturday or Sunday which is today that one has more activity information on its heart rate information and then just a normal time so when you set one of these and you choose it you go back and then it kind of goes through this sink where you can see down here says sinking so as it does that’s basically trying to go through and change.

So we can see as the little thing loads down here it will go through and sometimes it takes a little bit and now it should say that it has changed the sink and you can see that the face change so yeah so where this and I’ll let you guys know how it is and what I do and don’t like about so far i really like it and I’ve liked pretty much every one of their products so I don’t see that changing and then they’ve only gotten better with software and things like that and things like these removal bands are really helpful because these can kind of peel away after time you use it a lot so thanks for reading this article guys.
