The community of CS:GO is actually pretty funny, yet sometimes not much but toxic. Why is that? The very game was designed many years ago, and people play it even in Internet cafes – the original Counter Strike was really fun for people. Soon enough, it changed into Counter Strike: Global Offensive and that’s real stuf after all. There are e-sporting teams, plays, groups, guilds and more.
So this thing cannot surprise you: many people looks for CS GO for free. Why is that? Because the game is so popular that it creates the very desire of having it. Everyone want to be the guy, who is in team in Intel Extreme Masters. CS:GO is really important game.
But let’s talk about the community.
Gamers, rise up!
The CS:GO community is more or less called very toxic. Perhaps because many people wants to play it, and in every group you can find a troubled person, who wants only to destroy other’s fun. What can we say to them? Just block and mute, that’s all. The problem become real if they have influence on group we play with. Sometimes is hard to convince other people that this „funny guy” is actually pretty aggresive towards others.
Sometimes they’re really mean to people like women or minorities. That’s the clue beyond the „gamers rise up” motto. They’re not appealing to their good motives, they only search for bad habits and such aggressive stuff that makes every game toxic. The woman hears that her place is in kitchen, the minority guy hears n-word or something like that. After all, people would call that specific game „toxic”, despite the good people playing it.
The sad experience beyond the whole CS:GO success is based sometimes on bullying others. People can yell at themselves, because they want CS GO drops and stuff, they want to win the game even if it’s not possible at the late play, when everything seems on favor of the other side.
Don’t be that guy
But anyway, the community of CS:GO can be caring and good too. A lot of charity was made up in this game. We can’t even count people they help by simply streaming their games. That is actually very cool of them, and that’s a reason people can’t talk about „aggressive games turning youths into killing machines” (this myth is actually so poorly made that it based only on assumptions). After all, we can do many things using our game community and CS:GO does it in a proper and decent way. More or less, we can do many things with our gaming community, not being toxic, but being simply good for others. And that’s the value we cannot throw away because some people are mean to us.
