Fortitude: Weapon Rune Word – Diablo 2
fortitude runeword d2 is among the few Rune Words that work in weapons and Armor. The Rune Word is geared more toward melee fighters because of the Enhanced Damage of 300% that it can provide when placed on Armor. I have seen the frequently asked question on the internet about how the Fortitude Rune word’s Enhanced Damage can be used on Armor, so let me attempt to answer.
Enhanced Damage is applied differently for your characters when not a weapon. It is known as “Off-weapon ED” or “Off-weapon damage” in these situations. The way the game works is to calculate your weapon’s Damage first, and then all the bonuses you can get on your weapon, and then adds in what is known as your “off-weapon ED” and applies that amount to the total Damage that is done. There are excellent writeups on the game on this site as well. This is a good game.
The quick answer is that Enhanced Damage on fortitude runeword d2, when incorporated into your Armor, 100 percent increases the Damage you receive from Melee. For example, some of my websites that I refer to in the preceding paragraph, “The combination of weapon Enhanced Damage and % Damage normally has the most significant impact on attack damage: for example, 300% Enhanced Damage results in 4 times base weapon damage while +300% Damage results in 4 times attack damage; together, this results in attack damage 16 times base weapon damage without any other damage bonuses.”
Remember that every Rune Word you create will keep any existing bonuses in the object. If you discover a “Superior piece of Armor that has an enhanced defense or a superior Weapon that has +Enhanced Damage, or a helmet or weapon that offers bonuses to improve your skills for a particular class, then all of these will be included in the ultimate Rune Word that is created. You can also “debug” an item that is Ethereal Armor that you find that can increase Defense Bonuses by up to 50%. Check the Debugging guide for more details.

The farming of the High Runes:
Out of every location in the game, only one is above all others in cultivating, specifically High Runes, the Countess in Act 1. The Countess has a certain probability of dropping the high Rune and could be able to drop multiple. I was hoping you could review my The Countess Farming Guide for additional details.
