The latest update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, Patch 1.08, was released today. In addition to the usual bug fixes and tweaks, this update has introduced over 170 new items, as reported by PlayStation Lifestyle.
According to an Activision blog post, the developers are excited to provide more content and customization options for Modern Warfare Remastered. They acknowledge the community’s enjoyment of personalization and the desire to create their own gameplay experiences, which was not possible in the original release. Therefore, they are pleased to offer fans plenty of options to customize, personalize, and continue having fun with these new items.
Kevin Kelly, the Editorial Manager, addressed the importance of gameplay balance and weapons. He announced the addition of three modern era guns: the Kamchatka-12 (automatic shotgun), XM-LAR (assault rifle), and .44 Magnum (pistol). Each weapon has its own strengths and weaknesses to ensure proper game balance. The developers have extensively tested these new additions and are confident that players will have a great time using them.
The studio’s top priority remains maintaining balance in the game. Like many of the new items, these weapons can be obtained by completing collections of items acquired with Parts or through Supply Drops.

For those who prefer up-close and personal combat, the Battle-Scarred Weapon Kit is ideal. This kit will give your SMGs the appearance of having been through numerous firefights, with scars and battle marks adding a gritty touch.
If you’re looking for something extravagant, the Czar Weapon Kit is the one for you. It will transform your LMGs into pure gold, adding a touch of bling to your loadout. These golden guns are flashy, over the top, and as deadly as ever.
In addition to the weapon kits, we also have new melee weapon sets.

New Ranged Weapon Collection Bounties
Kamchatka-12 – Experience the power of a fully-automatic, 12-gauge shotgun of Russian origin. Equipped with an 8-round detachable box magazine, this weapon is ready to dominate.
XM-LAR – Unleash the firepower of this fully automatic assault rifle from the European theater. Utilizing 7.62x51mm NATO cartridges and featuring a 30-round detachable box, this weapon is a force to be reckoned with.
