Caribbean Airlines inaugurated its new City Ticket Office in Kingston, Jamaica on 16 November, located at 7 Trafalgar Road, Kingston 5. The airline’s motto “One Vision, One Caribbean, One Airline” was evident during the grand opening of the modern ticket office. The office was completed in just two months, thanks to the dedicated efforts of Caribbean Airlines and Air Jamaica employees, ensuring it was ready to serve customers during the busy Christmas season.
The office, which prides itself on having a fully functional kiosk for individuals who do not have internet access at home, will operate on weekdays from 7.30am to 5.30pm and on Saturdays from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
The esteemed Minister of Tourism in Jamaica, Edmund Bartlett, attended a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony at the newly established Caribbean Airlines ticket office.
In his speech, the Tourism Minister expressed that the opening of this collaborative ticket office marks a significant moment in time, as it signifies the beginning of a partnership that will greatly contribute to the growth of the region’s tourism industry.
Addressing the Caribbean Airlines staff, the Minister conveyed his pleasure in witnessing the establishment of this joint venture between Air Jamaica and Caribbean Airlines, which serves as a symbol of their partnership and the opening of a new ticket office.
This new endeavor will undoubtedly enhance the region and its tourism offerings. The Minister was accompanied by the airline’s management team, including Vice President Commercial and Customer Experience Robert Corbie, Senior Manager Commercial Sue Rosen, Senior Manager Sales William Rogers, Manager North Caribbean Teena Henry, and Head of Corporate Communications Laura Asbjornsen. Mark Greenswood had the privilege of being the first customer to purchase tickets at the new city ticket office. Mr. Greenswood shared, “I visited the new office to buy tickets for my grandfather’s trip to Philadelphia,” as he proudly posed with his Caribbean Airlines memorabilia.
