Today I like to go ahead and show you how to change your YouTube username, now I started a YouTube channel on one of my channels. I started a while back. I decided to change the name up and I want to show you the process.

That you want to change the username on in the upper right hand corner. And then we’re going to kind of come over here. So, first thing you want to do is, login to YouTube.com and then log into the account.

Where it says my channel and if you don’t see this, just look for the three bars up above. If you just click on those you should see my channel pop up.

And we’ll click on that one okay! once on my channel we’re going to come to the top, where it says video manager. Now, once on video manager, you want to come down to where it says channel.

So let’s click on that and we’re going to look for advanced. OK, once on the advanced page up, here you should see your current name and right next to it, you can see change.

So, let’s go ahead and click change and it’s going to bring up a little warning here.

So, as your channel name is linked to a brand account. Changes may take a few minutes to show up on your channel. And let’s go ahead and click edit.

Now right here you should see your name. So, let’s go ahead and I want to edit this name out. So, I’m just going to highlight it and let me add my new name.

Now what you do have your new name is just right below it. real quick it says changing your name here will change all Google products.

So, if you’re wondering what that means? you can always click learn more. so, right now I’m going to hit OK! change your name. so, people change their names infrequently in the real world.

So, Google limits the number of times you could do that. So, changing your YouTube name here applies though in all Google services. These changes may take sometimes to take an effect.

So, when you do change this name, it’s not going to be instantaneous. It will take a little time to get everything adjusted over!

So, let’s go ahead and click change name, okay. So, here it is my new name right there. so once again it does take a little bit of time to go into effect on your YouTube channel.
