Prologue
Choose a name for your character and save your progress with that name. Begin the game and find yourself waking up near a campfire on the ground. Press the necessary buttons to wake up from your slumber. Approach the lady who is seated nearby and engage in a conversation with her. As the conversation progresses, a third person will join the scene. Once the conversation between the heroes concludes, proceed up the path and leave the main campsite.
You will then find yourself on a grassy rock cliff. Follow the path and interact with the other two characters. This will trigger a scene, which will be followed by the arrival of a flying dragon. The dragon will transport your group to a distant castle that stretches across a jagged mountain range. Inside the castle is where you will appear next.
Head towards the left along the red carpet and engage in conversation with your friends. Together, continue along the hallway. Although there may be various branches from the main path, you will only be allowed to go where you need to go at the moment. This means going up through the doors at the end of the red carpet, towards the upper left along a dark corridor with lightning flashes through windows that overlook the dark night sky. Eventually, you will enter a room with a large red carpet and climb some stairs to reach a hallway with a menacing crimson mist hovering above. Approach the double doors to initiate another scene.
After the scene concludes and you enter the doors, you will come face to face with Murdaw. He is the reason you came to this place, and you may expect a battle to ensue. However, your foe is much stronger than your group can handle. Before anyone in the group can even react, they are all turned to stone. Everything fades to black…

Items
20G
Antidotal Herb
Leather Hat
Medicinal Herb
Seed of Agility
Seed of Resilience
Village Goods
You will wake up in a bedroom, where your sister Tania will scold you for startling her. She will inform you that Mayor Spindell visited earlier to see you. You can now open the nearby chest on the right side of the room to find a Leather Hat. In the kitchen to the left, you can discover 10G and a Seed of Agility by breaking open the pots and barrels in the dining area. Step outside to find yourself in your hometown.
It would be beneficial to explore the area for now. Head south through town, past a merchant with pots displayed on a blanket, and enter the building you come across. Break open a barrel on the right side to obtain a valuable Seed of Resilience. Proceed to the next building on the right (across the main trail) to find 10G in a barrel, if you wish.
When you are ready to move forward, head to the north side of town. At the top of the two short staircases, you will find a building. Break open a pot on the left to acquire a Medicinal Herb. Inside the building, you can find the mayor and break open a pot to his upper left for an Antidotal Herb if desired.
Speak to the mayor, who will request you to go to Haggleton with some village merchandise that you can sell to fund the Spirit Crown for the Fortune Festival. Your task this year is to obtain the crown. The mayor will give you the Village Goods. Leave his house, equip the Leather Hat if you haven’t already, and make sure to save at the church before leaving town via the trail on the south side.
Mountain Path
Items
20G
Medicinal Herb
Oaken Club
Wayfarer’s Clothes
To the south of Weaver’s Peak on the world map lies the Mountain Path area. Upon entering, follow the cobblestone trail to a set of stairs leading down to a grassy ledge. From here, you have the option to choose your path through the area. We will guide you through a route to acquire some useful gear early in the game.
Begin your journey by heading right along the trail. Pass a stump and two stone columns at the edge of a cliff. Drop down between the columns to reach a lower area with a cave. Inside the cave, move to the upper left to discover two treasure chests side by side. The left chest contains the Oaken Club, which you should equip immediately. In the right chest, you will find a Medicinal Herb. After looting the chests, proceed to the lower left and drop through a wide hole. Descend through multiple cave floors until you reach a dead end passage. Continue down to exit the cave and step back into the sunlight.
Upon exiting the cave, head to the lower left to find a set of stairs. Climb up to a higher ledge, then turn left. If desired, descend to a lower trail that leads to Haggleton via two staircases. However, this route will cause you to miss out on some valuable items. Nearby, there is a cave waiting to be explored by treasure hunters.
Inside the cave, head to the upper right to locate a staircase. Ascend it, then proceed right and up another staircase. Follow the passage as it curves towards the upper right and then descends into a wider chamber with a split path. Opt to take the left path to reach a treasure chest at a dead end. Open the chest to find 20G, then backtrack to the right and continue along the path to exit back outside onto the cliff.
Haggleton
Items
255G
Compendium of Creatures
Chimaera Wing
Healing Plant
Lockpick
Starting from the base of the Mountain Path, proceed south along the trail on the world map. This will guide you to the lower left corner, where you will eventually reach Haggleton.
Upon reaching Haggleton, you can walk up the main street, which is flanked by barrels. Break them open to discover 5G and a Healing Plant. To the left of the main path, there is a church where you can save your progress.
Continue up the path and turn right, passing through an opening. Inside, you will find several merchants. Follow the right side of the path until you encounter a man behind a wooden desk named Bill. Speak with him and he will offer you 330G for the goods you brought from Weaver’s Pick at the mayor’s request. Reject his offer, then proceed left. Enter another tent (the entrance is not obvious, but is directly left from where you exit the first large covered area). As you walk down that passage, converse with the man behind the desk. He is selling a key for 2000G. Since you lack the funds, decline the offer. He will then reduce the price to 1000G. Decline once more. Negotiate until you reach 200G, then purchase the Lockpick. It is a valuable item to possess.
Continue down the passage from where you acquired (or couldn’t afford) the key and you will encounter a man near a desk on a square patch of red carpet named Buck. Speak with him and he will offer a higher price for the goods you are carrying. Although it is not the highest possible, decline the offer. You can alternate between Bill and Buck until one of them finally offers 480G. At this rate, it would be wise to make the sale.
Now that you have the Lockpick, your next task is to utilize it. Visit the inn, situated just to the right of the town’s entrance. There is a.
Wellshire
Head outside of Haggleton and onto the world map, then proceed westward. Be cautious of the powerful monsters in that direction, especially after crossing the bridge. It is advisable to carry medicinal herbs for healing purposes.
After crossing the bridge and heading northwest, you will come across an area with a wide opening in the ground. As you approach, you will enter a small area surrounding a large hole. The crownsmith is hanging from the top of the hole. Assist him by pulling him to safety, which will lead you to fall through the hole and land on a new world map. Here, you will appear semi-transparent. Travel a short distance southeast to reach the town of Wellshire.
In Wellshire, you will notice that most villagers cannot see you, and conversations with them result in ‘?’ responses. Despite this, you can still stay overnight at the inn discreetly and visit the church to save your progress secretly.
It is important to mention that exiting the inn through the back door will lead you to a well on the right. Descend to the lower level of the well and open the chest of drawers on the right side of the rope to acquire the first collectibleRTENOTITLE
Mini Medal in the game. There are over 100 of these medals to collect, which can be exchanged for valuable equipment later in the game.
In Wellshire, focus on gathering any valuable items and then proceed to leave. Explore the northern side of town and enter the upper right house to break pottery and discover aRTENOTITLE

Somnia Castle
Items
Vintage Band
Vitality Seed
Depart from Weaver’s Peak and head south towards Hagglestown. From there, continue southward until you reach Somnia Castle.
Upon arrival in the vicinity of Somnia Castle, you will need to surrender your entry pass in order to gain access to the walled area. To the left, you will find an inn where you can rest and save your progress at the church. This is also an opportune time to visit the Weapons and Armor shops, where you can acquire some formidable new equipment that was previously unavailable. The Boomerang, Scale Armor, and Scale Shield are all worthwhile investments if you have the means.
Once you have equipped yourself to your satisfaction, you may proceed… However, it would be wise to engage in battles with the monsters just outside of town and level up a few times. It is advisable to advance your character to around level 6 before continuing. If the local monsters prove to be too challenging, you can regularly seek refuge at the inn. With the Boomerang in hand, you should be able to dispatch most of them with ease.
Once you have reached an appropriate level, save your progress and resume exploring the town. While there are various items scattered throughout the town, the true prize awaits at the bottom of a well. Speak to the woman standing nearby, and she will inform you that she has dropped her ring. Descend into the well and you will discover a treasure chest guarded by a formidable monster. Engage in conversation with the monster, and it will initiate an attack.
Beware, for the Grim Gunner monster is more formidable than it appears. You may have encountered its counterparts in the past, but this one possesses a devastating blow. Even with your character at level 6 and equipped with the most powerful gear currently available, you could still lose the battle if you are not cautious, as the monster’s standard attack can inflict up to 17HP of damage. Ensure that you heal yourself every two or three rounds, at the very least.
Once you have emerged victorious against the Grim Gunner, claim the Antique Ring as your reward and exit the well. You may choose to keep it for yourself, or perhaps make a wager.
Port Haven
Upon arriving in Port Haven, you have the option to save your progress at the temple near the town entrance. Afterwards, proceed left along the stone dock and cross the bridge into a building, where you will discover the town’s inn. While there, break the two pots to the right of the desk to acquire a Medicinal Herb. Enter the door on the left side of the desk to access the back room, where you can break open a pot to find a Mini Medal and open a bureau to obtain a Pretty Betsy.
If desired, save at the inn and then continue left from the desk across the planking. Descend and pass the staircase until you spot a barely visible opening in the wall to the right. Exit through this space onto a dock, where you can break open the barrels and discover an Iron Claw for Carver to equip. It is a formidable weapon.
Return to the inn and proceed towards the stairs. From there, walk left and pass through the opening in the wall (between the merchants). This will take you to the left side of town. Head towards the lower left area, where you will encounter two young individuals named Johan and Ella. Observe their interaction. Once the girl departs, proceed along the dock and the upper part of town until you reach a warehouse filled with crates. Near the crates, you will find a Fur Hood when you break open one of the barrels.
Leave the warehouse and return to the east side of town by passing through the building that houses the inn and the shops. Then, make your way to the southern side of town and enter the mansion. Inside, you will find Ella, who has prepared Mr. Barkington’s dinner. Follow her to the right and up the stairs to learn more about her emotions. Descend the stairs and begin to exit the building, but you will be interrupted.
Lucid Grotto
Items available in this area include a Bronze Knife, Chimaera Wing, Dream Dew, Fur Cape, and Seed of Resilience. To reach your destination, head southwest from the cottage where you met Luca Luminista. After crossing two bridges, continue heading south until you reach a cave.
Once inside the cave, follow the passage towards the lower left. At a fork, you can either go down to find a Chimaera Wing in a treasure chest at a dead end or go left to reach the top of a staircase. Descend the stairs to the next floor and continue downwards and towards the right until you reach an intersection.
From the intersection, go down to reach a room that serves as a three-way intersection. Heading right and veering down will lead you to a treasure chest containing a Seed of Resilience. After obtaining it, return to the upper left and follow the left path. Shortly after, you will come across a new branch. Go up and to the left to find a treasure chest with 230G. Proceed downwards and take a right at the first opportunity to reach the top of another staircase. Descend the stairs.
You will now find yourself in a more crystalline area. Follow the murky path downwards and to the left. Keep going in that direction and climb up two short sets of steps to reach a higher ledge. Walk left along the ledge and you will encounter two sets of stairs leading downwards. Descend the first set and continue left to find another set of stairs leading to a treasure chest. Open the chest to obtain the Bronze Knife. Return to the right and continue descending the steps.
Eventually, you will come across a pool of water. To the right, there are two sets of steps that you can descend. From there, head right and follow the path upwards to find a ledge with another treasure chest. Open it to obtain the Fur Cape. Afterward, head back down and left. Proceed to the far left to reach the top of a new staircase.
Amor
Items
Small Medal (2)
In the town of Somnia, you can have a conversation with a man located upstairs in the inn to gather information about the town of Amor. He will also mention that the Ra Mirror may have a connection to that town, prompting you to seek further details. This will require a journey to Amor.
Departing from Somnia, head south for a few steps before turning west. As you progress, you will notice a mountain range below, but there is ample space to the north between the water and mountains to continue moving westward. Follow this path until you reach a bridge. Cross the bridge and then follow the trail as it curves southward with a slight eastward direction. After a short distance, you will come across a cave. Proceed past the cave for now (you will return to it later) and continue following the hills southward until you finally arrive at Amor.
Upon entering Amor, make your way to the southwest side of town without delay. Inside the house near the well, you will discover a Mini Medal hidden in the dresser at the back corner. Ensure that you speak with the man seated at the table as well. Subsequently, visit the innkeeper to inquire about accommodation for the night. Unfortunately, there are no vacancies at the inn. Exit the inn and head to the building just north of it. Engage in conversation with the man inside, who will share a story with you. Proceed to the Armour and Weapons shops next. While they offer excellent gear, it is possible that you may not have enough funds to make a purchase at this time. Speak to the man wandering between the two shops. Once you have interacted with all necessary individuals, you can be certain that you have not overlooked anyone.
After completing the required interactions, proceed to the church. Speak with the priest and enter the building. You may need to revisit some of the individuals mentioned earlier in town to prompt the priest to move away from the door. Once inside the church, converse with the priest, who will kindly offer you a place to stay for the night since the inn is fully booked. Descend the stairs and…
The Ultimate Key vs. Locked Doors
After obtaining the Ultimate Key from the sunken ship north of Pescado, you will be able to unlock various doors that were previously inaccessible. This will allow you to acquire valuable treasures.
To begin your search, sail northwest from the sunken ship on the ocean floor. You will come across another underwater shrine symbol in that direction. Enter the shrine and sail down to a small island. Once you land on the island, look to the left of the old man residing there to discover a Mini Medal.
Upon resurfacing, use Zoom magic to travel to Port Haven. Proceed towards the lower right corner of the town, then head left and down some stairs. In the cell below, you will find two treasure chests containing 1500G and another Mini Medal.
Next, teleport to Howcastle using Zoom magic. Navigate to the upper right side of the castle’s first floor, behind the stairs leading up to the king’s area. You can now pass through the previously locked door and open the chests to obtain a Mini Medal and a Platinum Mail.
Make your way to Arkbolt and enter the castle. Head towards the back on the first floor and climb the large stairs to the second floor. Exit through the doors straight ahead to reach outside. Descend the stairs to your right and proceed to the lower right to find the prison cells. Break open the pot in the left cell to discover a Mini Medal, but you may need to wait for the prisoner to move out of your way. Afterward, leave the castle and continue exploring the world for more locked doors.
Consider visiting Somnia as well. Enter the town and head to the castle. Upon entering, go right immediately and proceed up the hallway to find some stairs. Descend the stairs and…
Undersea Treasure Chamber
Items
Gringham Whip
Mini Medal (2)
Tempest Shield
There is a hidden treasure chamber that you must explore before continuing your main quest. To find it, use Zoom magic to teleport to Scrimsley, then head south to the coast and board your ship. Sail east for a short distance until you reach some shoals, then dive underwater using Lorelei’s Harp. Navigate north through the channel that was previously blocked by the shoals, and continue north along the ocean floor until you reach the underwater palace.
Once inside the palace, sail down to a ledge and disembark from your boat. You will come to an intersection where you can choose to go left or right. While there are no random encounters here, enemies guard the treasure chests in both directions.
To the left, you will face an Uberkilling Machine and a Dragoneer. Focus on using Kabuff magic and powerful physical attacks to defeat the Uberkilling Machine first. After that, take out the Dragoneer. Make sure to keep your party members’ health up throughout the battle to avoid any casualties.
After winning the battle, open the nearby treasure chests to acquire a Mini Medal and a Tempest Shield.
Return to the intersection and head right this time. Face two more guards and two more treasure chests. Defeat the guards to encounter two Uberkilling Machine enemies. Stay focused and maintain your party’s health during this battle.
Upon winning, open the chests to obtain the Gringham Whip and another Mini Medal. You can now leave the shrine.
