Everyone please gather around and cherish this amazing moment, why you may ask? Well because Sony Interactive Entertainment has finally announced that you can now honestly change your Online PSN ID through your web browser.

Yes you heard that right; you can now actually change your own online PSN ID without any blockheads.
Man, to be honest with you all I was so desperate to change my online PSN ID because all PSN mocked me and made fun of me which is fair considering my PSN ID. You guys wanna know what my ID is, but please don’t laugh seriously know I’m kidding well my online PSN ID is “douchebagpatrol69”.

The most requested feature on the PSN has finally launched and this is what Sony Interactive Entertainment’s senior director Mr. Sid Shuman has to say about that and I quote “We’re excited to announce that the online ID change feature on PSN is officially launching to all PlayStation 4 owners later today. You’ll also be able to change your online ID via a web browser, and that feature will also be available starting today. Thanks to all of you who participated in the beta preview program back in October/November and who gave us your feedback! ”
He also said that after reviewing the result of preview program, he said that they found an occurrence where a particular game did not cooperate or support with the new feature.
Originally Sony Interactive Entertainment mentioned in their announcement that all PS4 games that was published on that day or after April 1, 2018 or that have been developed after that will support the new online PSN ID change feature.
However, even though Sony said all that but please do keep in mind that they did not test all PS4 games that were released after April 1, 2018 with this feature, they are not sure and neither confirm you that all PS4 games can support this feature or not.

And please do keep in mind that the most number of majorities of PS4 games do support the online PSN ID change feature.

You can change your online ID on either your PS4 or internet browser.

PlayStation 4:
- Step 1: From your PS4 go to [Settings].
- Step 2: Select [Account Management] > [Account Information] > [Profile] > [Online ID].
- Step 3: Enter an Online ID of your choice or choose from one of the suggestions.
- Step 4: Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the change.
Web browser:
- Step 1: Sign in to your PlayStation Network account and select PSN Profile in the menu.
- Step 2: Select the Edit button that’s next to your Online ID.
- Step 3: Enter an Online ID of your choice or choose from one of the suggestions.
- Step 4: Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the change.
