The Megashiba mount was revealed on June 30, at the time it was put for sale. The hashtag #ShibaInuMount quickly began to increase in popularity, mostly through the people who bought the item. People were posting pictures and sharing their thoughts on how the Megashiba felt riding it when the hashtag started to briefly trend on Twitter.
It could be because the hashtag was not being clear it’s a reference to a particular video game. However, it eventually became popular among people who weren’t aware of the game FFXIV.
