To your Windows 8 laptop or desktop wireless.
The process is somewhat simple. But your computer needs to make sure that it has Bluetooth. In this particular laptop.
Here does not have Bluetooth built in.
It will be using an external Bluetooth adapter to do this. But the process is still the same for a laptop or desktop.
That has Bluetooth built into the actual hardware .
But yeah while it’s going to get started the operating system. That this laptop is running is Windows 8.1.
I believe Windows 8.1 upgrade one. I believe is what it is running.
All you need is your ps4 controller PC. And the computer that you’re going to be connecting and that’s it. So yeah let’s go and get started let me.
Game Controller
So what you need to do is go over here to the bottom left. Until you bring up this menu. And go to settings, then you need to go to control panel.
On an in control panel you want to go to “hardware and sound”. And select View “Devices and Printers” and then once you’re in here. This is where you will add the controller.
Now before you click anything else. You want to make sure the ps4 gets put into pairing mode. So just like usual hit the Play Station button.
And the share button at the same time. Until the light bar starts to blink. There you go light bar is now blinking.
So once you have done that it’s going to focus back in on the screen. Here alright so now you want to go up here to add device.
And click that and the computer should recognize the controller.
There we are, it says wireless controller, game controller. You want to click that and then hit next. Then it’s going to ask you to enter a pass code.
But the generic pass code that is used is four zeros. You want to type four zeros into the password section so one two ,three ,four and then hit enter.
On the keyboard and it’s going to continue. With the installation process of the wireless controllers. A driver and a saying configuring Bluetooth services.

FAQ
Can I use any controller in Playstation 4?
You may use any control intended for the PS4. So that means that you may use a Dual Shock 4 control created by Sony or some PS4 controller produced by a third party.
You might Have the Ability to use another controller with a few alterations but that is a Good Deal of trouble to go through in my view
Can I play a PS4 game with a PC USB controller?
This question is not really unique. What should you consider the usual controller? I’d presume the usual control for enjoying with a ps4 game are the normal ps4 control (dualshock 4) which includes the machine.
In this instance, yes that is exactly what it was constructed for. If your having difficulty connecting your ps4 control to your ps4 allow me to know and I will see how I could help.
Whatever you can’t use a computer usb control for PS4. In reality you can not use any control not created for the PS4.
Which console has the better controller, PS4 or Xbox One?
I Favor the Xbox One Control. More comfortable in my hands along with the stick positioning is much superior to me.
The PS4 controller has progressed much more this creation while I believe the Xbox One control dropped the usability of this bumpers compared to Xbox 360 controller, but it’s so exceptional ergonomically for the way I have a controller I prefer the Xbox One controller.
Anyhow, here is a more detailed contrast based on my experience with both controls:
Analogue Joysticks
The positioning on the Xbox One control is exactly the same as it has been because the first Xbox – that the sticks have been counter, using the left rod found in the upper left, as the primary controlling input and the perfect stick located in the lower right.
This place makes the sticks really comfortable for my own hands.
The positioning on the PS4 controller is exactly the same as it has been because the first Dual Shock on the PSOne: reduced in the center of the control, the two sticks parallel to one another.
My hands feel helpless when I play games which use both sticks and even though Sony has employed this layout for a lot of decades, I simply can not get accustomed to it.
The structure and texture of these rods is pretty much ideal on the Xbox One control. They are solid and firm.
I do not actually want the feel that supposedly enhances the grip but some people seem to believe that is an update. I am talking to it.
They feel a bit looser for me (granted, I just have two PS4 controllers rather than 4 Xbox One controls so there is less for me to compare there) but they are still far better than the normal third-party control.
Regrettably, the structure isn’t quite as large quality as about the Xbox One joysticks.
After three decades, one of my PS4 controllers began to show wear on the cover of the pole and I needed to purchase a cover for this.
The Xbox One control wins here.
D-Pads
There’s not much to talk here. Though the Xbox One control features a much better D-Pad compared to the Xbox 360 controller, it’s still a sub-par D-Pad.
It takes a lot of strain for presses to enroll and it’s all about painful to work with. Bad Microsoft!
Modern games utilize the D-Pad as a secondary input, generally to change weapons or objects and consequently its positioning is spot-on.
The PS4 control D-Pad is an dream. It looks amazing due to this Playstation weird rip-off D-Pad layout, but it registers presses right and without much of a problem.
No competition here. The only problem I have with all the PS4 D-Pad is your positioning.
It sits up as the principal input of this PS4 control and the fact is that the majority of modern games do not utilize the D-Pad sufficient to provide it main input place.
But if perhaps Sony wanted to emphasize what’s possibly the control’s best attribute, it is sensible to put it were it’s from this point of view.
Face Buttons
Not much to mention. Both controls have quite good face buttons and I can not honestly say that’s better with this class.
Both controls even have them found in pretty much exactly the exact same place so much as their functionality go. It is a tie.
Tie.
Bumper Buttons
The Xbox One control has horribly rigid rotational buttons. Simple to media, smooth, pleasant site.
Pretty much perfect. Some idiot at Microsoft apparently believed they were too great, so they needed to Vistafy them.
They seem prettier now, all glistening in another plastic casing compared to the control face but they’re stiff. They aren’t unresponsive; you can tell if you pressed against them and that media surely registers; they are just uncomfortable to media.
They are fine and shiny though. Like Vista compared to XP.
They are smooth and nice to media, as usual at a Playstation controller.
The PS4 trounces that the Xbox One control . No competition.
Analogue Triggers
They’re the same they have been at the Xbox lineup, except for a small side angle to make them more inviting to index finger traction.
They have fine traveling and they are very accurate once you will need the sensitivity for fighting matches and simply don’t require a easy fire cause.
I truly like the vibration motors inside them as they actually improve the experience when playing games (I’m a large Forza enthusiast and all Xbox One Forza matches are pretty much showcases for your analogue triggers).
Sony has resigned up their game in their own triggers. What was among the weakest aspect of the controls is now an excellent input.
They’re in fact very, very good today. As a pet peeve, I truly dislike the difference that creates when you depress the causes. Sony should resolve this.
The Xbox One control wins but a little hair.
Bells and Whistles
The Xbox One control is rather bare bones. Yes, it seemingly has no radio lag, however I can not say that is a problem with the PS4 control so the simple fact it utilizes WiFi Direct as a link protocol appears more of a marketing ploy for me compared to a true advancement.
Early Xbox One controls lacked a standard 3.5millimeter plug that was a terrible design choice.
It has been repaired, but you do not have that attribute if you have an old control (such as I do).
New Xbox One controls also support Bluetooth but you do not have that attribute if you have an old control.
You are now able to control the rechargeable batteries using any micro-USB cord rather than having a bizarre cable but that is not a characteristic, it is an improvement on a terrible design choice on the Xbox 360 controller.
Additionally, it lacks inner batteries, which I enjoy. Meaning that in case the battery is dying then I simply have to replace this rather than the whole controller.
I utilize Microsoft rechargeable batteries two of my controls and AA Eneloops in my other two. Alternatives are excellent.
The Xbox One control is actually very good at sleeping by itself and saving battery life.
This looks absurd, but it is important once you think about how terrible the PS4 control is on batteries just since it will not go to sleep!
The PS4 controller appears to be an wonderful control within this region till you realize these whistles and bells do not actually mean much because programmers are not using them.
The PS4 controller includes a massive touch strip which runs through the center of the control which may also be pressed as a switch.
Most games I have only use this as a massive additional button, taking benefit from this signature performance so that is disappointing.
More games will need to become on this to your menus and other mechanisms!
For the longest period you could not turn off that thing and it emitted a shine that represented on the TV display and simply diverted the hell out of me.
That shine likely contributed to the bad battery life on the control that seems to take forever to go to sleep in case you need to abruptly leave your match in pause but did not have enough opportunity to grip the PS button and decide on the turn off control alternative.
This sounds absurd, but occasionally adults will need to leave the game wrapped in a rush to look after a thing and in the instance of this Xbox One, the control turns off and it’s battery left.
In the instance of this PS4, the control remains on with the mild bar consuming the batteries.
Unfortunately, developers are not being quite so intriguing in the usage of the signature strip and inadequate battery optimizations make it creep.
Ergonomics
I want to find the handle the PS4 controls and its own strange cylindrical grips from the way . They aren’t natural. They aren’t ergonomic.
They’re somewhat better compared to grips at the PS3 control, however, Sony has a ways to go here.
There’s some small texture on these, but it is not to my liking. Bad Sony!
They are nice and beefy, which makes the control comfy to hold. I am able to see how they are a problem for those who have smaller hands on though.
The positioning of the analogue sticks are a lot more intuitive and comfortable to me to the Xbox One control compared to on the PS4 controller. My hands feel helpless on Sony’s control.
The positioning of the Chat and Choices button at the PS4 controller is embarrassing for me.
I guess that is the reason why lots of matches elect to utilize the touchstrip as a massive button.
It is just hard to get these buttons without looking at the control and they’re hard to locate by touch.
Make no mistake, they’re difficult to discover if you aren’t utilized to the Xbox ergonomics, however they’re simpler to use compared to PS4’s Chat and Options buttons.
For me personally, the Xbox One control wins . I can see how someone with bigger hands might prefer the PS4 control however.
Total
It is interesting because I believe Sony improved much more than Microsoft did this creation.
Microsoft appears to have taken a couple of steps back. They’re horribly designed this creation. Incremental updates like the 3.5millimeter plug in and Bluetooth are all welcome, however they do not benefit aged versions of the control.
I guess that in the conclusion, my taste to the Xbox One control is not so much that Microsoft did a superb job with it, but much more like that they lucked out having a really comfy and iconic design together with all the Xbox 360 controller, as far as they attempted to Vistafy the Xbox One control, the foundation was too great for them to wind up with a terrible controller.
In reality, they ended up using the control I like, but I am worried for future alterations should they continue this particular pattern.
I can certainly know people who favor the PS4 contrroller.
