The follow-up to the fantastically-successful Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, was received with less critical acclaim. It’s a pseudo-sequel, the trigger narrative. Cross focuses on Serge, a young man who’s removed from the world when trapped in a parallel version of his current world. With the assistance of a girl known as Kid, along with a large collection of characters that can be played, as well as a huge cast of characters, Serge must determine the mystery behind what’s going on and help save the planet by solving the mystery.
The game was long relegated to the PlayStation. chrono cross walkthrough has been upgraded and will be released in 2022 as Chrono Cross the Radical Dreamers Edition. Apart from some visual variations, a speed-up or slow-down feature, a couple of name changes, and the addition of The Radical Dreamers, it’s the same as in 1999.
Chrono Cross Walkthrough and Guide
The following sections include a full walkthrough, boss strategies,s and a listing of the most important items and treasures for every area in Chrono Cross the Radical Dreamers Edition.
Part 01: Arni Village (Home) – Chrono Cross-Wiki Guide – IGN
Only bother with the excursions. Proceed straight to the rear to the back of the room. The goal is to shut off the gem and then transport it from the circular platform in the space’s central part. Transfer to the top platform for another FMV sequence.
Following the nightmare, Serge wakes up in his bedroom without the energy he experienced during his time in the Tower. Pilfer the 200G of savings that are hidden under the mattress. Go to the left, and you’ll locate a Tablet Element. Get out of the room. Serge’s mother is adamant about him his sleeping and also the fact that Leena arrived to look for Serge. He was supposed to be with her earlier that day.
Before you run out to your partner:
- Take a left turn as you leave the house.
- Chat with the fisherman in front of the swordfish and play along with his daily plans to win an unrestricted Komodo Scale.
- Visit the hut on the right of the village and speak to the lady who is old for suggestions on how you can get the Kodomo pups.
- Head down to the basement and speak to the man there. The guy will give you a Shark Tooth and an account of his life.
- Keep this in mind for the future.
Go to the hut below the one you had been in, walk back to the house, and enter the smaller room. You can then inspect the bed and chest. The mattress will provide an Hekran Bone, and the compartment will hold the Ivory Helmet. Speak to her wearing Red about the poems. If you speak to the barrel four times behind the girl, the barrel will offer you the ability to Uplift. It is important to recall her later. Keep track of the kid in between the buildings. You could give him his Komodo Scale from the swordfish man. Check the cart in the middle to locate the Custom Frame.

Character Recruit – Poshul
Once you have the Hekran Bone in hand, stop at the clearing towards the left side of the swordfish man and hand the Bone over to the Pink Wonder Dog. To do that, you must open the window for key items by pressing Square, then choose to unlock the Hekran Bone. It would help if you were within a reasonable distance of talking to him.
Poshul is a part of your group as a return. If you do not take the time to recruit Poshul today, you’ll get one more opportunity to recruit her second self in the future and Leena. Before leaving, look for the bucket outside the hut to find an Aquabeam element. Then, enter the place to locate the Cure element hidden behind the wall and scroll to the left.
Rejoin the main area of the village and go towards the Pier. Leena is furious at the person who showed up late and for not delivering on your promise to assist in finding Kodomo Scales. Kodomo Scales she needs. She needs three scales and giving her a few that were given to you will not help. She will know. Take the village away.
Chrono Cross Walkthrough, Part Two: Lizard Rock
You can exit Arni Village via the southeast corner of the main screen, and you’ll be placed on the world map. Save your progress to the world map and then, in the end, switch your players. There are various areas right now, should you desire, but you’ll only be able to explore a little. Your main goal should be Lizard Rock, located south of Arni Village.
(The one spot you ought to visit. The most interesting place to visit is Cape Howl, which is located just north of Lizard Rock. It’s a small area that has a couple of basic enemies. In this area, you can collect a Healing Element or the Bone. Both are helpful at the beginning of the game.)
The first dungeon to be found in the entire game (Fort Dragonia doesn’t count), Lizard Rock is small and easy to navigate. Even if you didn’t take Poshul, you should be fine dealing with local monsters. They are comprised of the following:
- Beach Bums – Blue Innate. Oval-shaped amphibious creatures. Beach Bums are a good choice for Elements to attack you if you allow them to; however, they’re usually slow to do much more than just attack. Start by removing these.
- Komodo Pups – Blue Innate. The Komodo pups you are hunting are fast but weak, usually using SquirtGun (if they have any moves made)—no big deal.
- SandSquirts – Blue Innate. Bigger, more powerful adversaries accompany small lizards. Not a big deal at all.
The goal of Lizard Rock is to find and eliminate 3 Komodo Pups. Each requires you to solve the simple task of trying to chase down the Komodo Pup down.
Komodo Pup #1
1. The initial Komodo Pup is on Lizard Rock’s first screen of Lizard Rock The Komodo Pup can run through a small tunnel to avoid you. From the entrance, go south to discover a FireballElement within an unmarked chest in the back of the Beach Bum. Then, follow this Komodo Pup north through the tunnel. On the south side, a huge rock can be rolled in front of the tunnel blocking an exit. Turn around towards the north and then chase it down. Komodo Pup inside to corner it. Take it down for the first time on a Komodo Scale.
Komodo Pup #2
Another Komodo Pup is down the southeast path leading to the entrance into Lizard Rock, though it will be hiding whenever you come near it. Start by heading west and examining the rock in the northwest corner region. It is possible to push it into the water to create the chest that contains the silver Loupe climb up to the surface.
Returning to the north, you’ll see a tree stump on the platform. Jump onto the stump and walk north, out of the screen, and onto the ledge, where a Beach Bum is hanging out. Get on the shelf, take out the Beach Bum, and then stroll south along the ridge back to the screen before. There’s a jumping area that you can use to jump down on the Komodo Pup as it walks through the net. Make sure you time your jump to not jump onto the Komodo Pup just as it’s beneath you will cause a missed. Enjoy your second Komodo Scale.
Komodo Pup #3
Third Komodo Pup is down the northwestern side of the second Komodo’s monitor. You’ll be on the large looping path, and the Komodo Pup will try to beat you on this small circular track.
Look around before heading out to hunt for The Komodo Pup. There’s a small, tumbling waterfall to the southern part of the region, and to the right of it, a few steps lead to the water. You can walk underneath the bridge and see the chest containing the tablet Element to your left. Then, go north and then turn to the left, passing over a small jump. The exit on the map is located towards the northwest. Then towards the southwest, is an apparent dead-end with a gap. You can jump through the hole to get into the island at the loop’s center. You’ll find an unopened chest that contains the Bone. Find it, then jump back into the water and explore the cave to the north of you. There’s the path that is semi-hidden towards the ivory Helmet.
Return to the looping path that you started on. It would help if you caught the Komodo Pup, and despite the appearance, there’s no trick to this. If you’re running counterclockwise along the route that you’re on, you’ll need to keep the Pup in the air. This may be a failure initially. However, you’re slightly quicker than the lizard; you’ll catch up to it over time if you keep the pace. It’s 3 of the Komodo scales.
Whatever Komodo pup you killed at the end, you’ll be in the presence of Mama Komodo to complete your scavenger hunt.
Mama Komodo
A bigger version of the small Komodos you’ve been fighting, this blue innate Mama Komodo is pretty humdrum for a novice boss. She’s primarily an attack-oriented boss with her paws, and even though she is more than any other boss at Lizard Rock, you shouldn’t be facing a stiff challenge, particularly if you have Poshul as a player. Make sure you have some Cure elements on Serge and heal as required. The Fireball Element you gathered earlier will cause some good damage in this fight.
You’ll get 216 g, the Fur (common drop), or a Tablet (rare drop) when you defeat the Mama Komodo, along with other common drops to defeat the Komodo pups at the start of the fight.
Opassa Beach
If you travel west towards the west of Lizard Rock, from the screen you used to pursue your Komodo Pup in circles, you’ll come across Opassa Beach. If you’ve got three scales of Komodo, Leena is waiting for you. She’ll ask you some questions. Select ‘I Remember”‘ and ‘We’ll forever remember this moment,’ and you’ll receive an item further into the gaming. It looks like a lovely morning…
… in, at the very least, until Something goes bad. Serge (and possibly Poshul) may be pulled in… Something… or when they return to Opassa Beach, Leena will be gone. Weird.
Lizard Rock (Another World)
It’s necessary to go through Lizard Rock a second time to complete the journey, and you’ll encounter a new creature in addition to the previous ones:
- Opah Fish – Red Innate. Although they could be better at fitness, Opah Fish will wreck your young team with their numerous Red Innate attacks. First, kill them with Blue Innate Elements before they can charge their more powerful Elements.
When you go to Lizard Rock, you’ll notice that new objects are on the way, replacing the older ones. That’s handy. You can return to the same locations as before to locate a Bone, an Ivory Helmet, a Feather, and an ivory Helmet.
When you’re finished After that, leave Lizard Rock via the northeastern way. This will bring you back to the map of the world—Trek to Arni Village.
Part 03: Arni Village (Another)
In this Chrono Cross and Chrono Cross Remaster walkthrough, you will learn to get Leena along with Mojo and take on several bosses on Cape Howl.
Lizard Rock – Another World
Serge is left alone at Opassa beach, with only the older woman who lives in the same village. Oddly enough, she claims not to have any knowledge of Surge. Take a break from Opassa Beach and return to Arni Village. It is necessary to pass across Lizard Rock again, but there are new creatures this time. Take the lower route. Be mindful that the area has some unused items where the old ones were (Bone, Ivory Helmet). After you’ve finished, walk around the lower portion (where the tree that fell was) and return towards Arni Village.
Arni Village – Another World
You’ll discover by speaking to the villagers that nobody remembers Serge. Begin by going to your home and then finding it used by another person. If you’re upstairs, look behind the clutter for a MagmaBomb component. As you leave the house, you’ll be met by the angry owner who will ask why you’re at his home. Afterward, go to the dining room (bottom right side of the town). In the back of the restaurant is an unopened curtain in which the chest used to be at home. You can open it up to find the Tablet. Be sure to speak to the girl wearing blue about poetry (this will save you time later). After speaking to the girl, talk about”the “pot” 4 times. After the fourth attempt, you will get a response and provide you with one IceLance element. The next stop is the hut of Radius (left from the town from where you found Poshul), in which a man called Gonji lives. The wall scroll is a Tablet.
Then, go to the cellar of Kiki’s residence (top right corner of the village) There’s her father in prayer to an angel. Be aware of this location, as you’ll be back in this spot shortly. Visit the dock and chat with Leena before heading for Cape Howl.
Cape Howl – Another World
Go up the cliff. The treasure chests are filled with Bone along with one ElectroJolt element. Go up the exit at the top to a graveyard and examine the gravestone. It is revealed that Serge has passed away in this alternate universe. A group of ghost hunters soon show up to smack Poshul off the rock (if you had enlisted him) and attempt to capture you.
There’s nothing too complicated here. Make use of the elements that strike all enemies, like MagmaBomb. Also, you can try ElectroJolt to Karsh. The girl needs to steal using her Pilfer ability. Solt, along with Pepper, is a fool and falls fast.
After the fight After the battle, Leena (Kid) will then ask to join your group. You are free to allow her to join, but this will mean the possibility that Leena will forever disappear from you during this game. Instead, it would help if you turned her down three times, and you’ll be able to get her to join you later in Termina. You’ll be taken home to Arni Village.
Arni Village – Another World
The next day, Leena appears at the Stockroom to wake you up.
Character Recruit – Leena & Poshul
If you resisted Kid at the time of Cape Howl, Leena will immediately join your party. If you did not recruit Poshul back home, the gorgeous pink dog would also be joining Leena. If Kid is in your home, then Leena is not binding.
Character Recruit – Mojo
When you’ve had Leena at your table, go back to Kiki’s house in the basement. In the cellar, she shows her father the Shark Tooth she got from his previous self.
He is angry and orders you to take the item away. After he has spoken to you, make sure you leave the basement. The Mojo, the idol Mojo, comes to life and joins your celebration when you allow him in.
The village is left for Termina in the north. It is necessary to first travel through The Fossil Valley, northeast of Arni Village, to reach the busy town.
Notification: You should first visit the Hydra Marshes, located just west of Arni Village. There are a few other things.
