Is PEVA safe?

So while this may give you some satisfaction when buying a product that contains polyethylene vinyl acetate, you should be aware that it still has other chemicals that can be dangerous to human health. Some studies suggest that PEVA is, in fact, poisonous to some living organisms.
It is impossible to make a clear statement on this concern because many of the chemicals found in this petrochemical have not yet been adequately tested for harmful influences on human health.
We know that this material is free of phthalates, which are “predicted human carcinogens.”
So while little is known about ethylene vinyl acetate poisoning, based on readily available evidence, PEVA is a less unsafe material than PVC.
