The huge lines for Endwalker the latest expansion of Final Fantasy XIV, have resulted in frustration for players. However, what’s more annoying than this is when players get affected by strange errors, like errors 4004 5003, 5003, and 5006. These errors can force you off the line and send your wait time to skyrocket.
But what is the cause of these error codes. Errors 5006, 503 and 4004 are related to the same issue. This is due to the server slowing down your connection following lengthy waiting times. The server will remove you off the queue if it believes the waiting time is excessively long.
It is usually an anti-congestion and security measure. When there aren’t a lot of queues the time-outs prevent users who are attempting to gain access through malicious means or who are struggling to connect due to problems with connections from blocking queues. However, in the Endwalker’s lengthy queues these measures are become hostile to legitimate connections.

In a blog post that explained the problems, game Producer as well as Director Naoki Yoshida detailed the way Square Enix had taken measures to extend the time for every user in their queue. However, with queues that were longer than anticipated there were some who were hit with these errors. There’s no fix to address this problem. Square Enix is in the process of increasing the threshold to which people can be exiled due to long waiting times. However, other then being patient and waiting for the right time to start playing There’s nothing one can take to avoid this from happening.
